I'm Not Alone

Hymn composed by

Aly Halpert

Contextual information

From Aly:

“I’m Not Alone” is a two-part song co-written by Jewish musicians Anat Halevy Hochberg and Aly Halpert that has been sung around the world as a reminder that even as things are increasingly difficult, we are never alone — we have each other, the beauty of nature, the creator however we name them, and our ancestors at our backs.

From Anat:

“I'm Not Alone” is a song to self, a reminder that we have support from ourselves, the Divine, mother nature, and each other.

Lyrics

[Voice 1]

I’m not alone. [x16]

[Voice 2]

I forgot for a minute who I belong to.

The mama earth, the wind and rain, the beauty and the pain.

I’m not alone. For me the world was created.

I’m not alone. To dust I will return.
