Wherever You Go

Hymn composed by

Lori McNeal Reece

Contextual information

“Wherever You Go” is a song for sending well wishes to people simply going to class, or an outing, for going out in the world, or for familiar rites of passage. It is a song for anyone, of any age, moving on in life–however big or small the change may be. The composer writes: “I have a moment in mind when my 85-year-old Dad was taking a walk while my sister took out all his belongings from his home of 60 years. We were talking as we walked away from the house. He turned around to look at the house and softly cried. He wanted to die in that home, but it wasn’t to be. I hoped that he could go with grace, knowing that he is loved.”

Lyrics

Wherever you go, go with grace.

Wherever you go, go with grace.

You are loved. You belong.

You are loved. You belong.

Go with grace.

Go with grace.

Wherever you may be in life… grace.

Wherever you go, find your truth.

Wherever you go, find your truth.

You are loved. You belong.

You are loved. You belong.

Find your truth.

Find your truth.

Wherever you may be in life… truth.

Wherever you go, always dream.

Wherever you go, always dream.

You are loved. You belong.

You are loved. You belong.

Always dream.

Always dream.

Wherever you may be in life… dream.

Wherever you go, be at peace.

Wherever you go, be at peace.

You are loved. You belong.

You are loved. You belong.

Be at peace.

Be at peace.

Wherever you may be in life… peace.
